Wholesale textile supply
Fabric that
arrives
- soft.
- true.
- on time.
- on tone.
- ready.
- soft.
Gentle Nest Fabric moves greige, cotton, linen and blended textiles from mill floor to your cutting table. Buy a single meter or a full container. Same cloth, same shade, either way.
The range
Six qualities we keep in depth, all year.
Everything below sits in stock in our warehouse, so sampling takes days instead of seasons. Hover a shade to read its specification.
Two ways to buy
By the yard, or by the container.
The same qualities, cut two ways. Home sewers get the identical cloth we ship to brands, just in the length they need.
Retail cuts
Order from one meter. Continuous cutting so a four meter order arrives in one piece, not four.
- Swatch packs posted before you commit
- No minimum, no account needed
- Cut and shipped within two working days
Wholesale rolls
Full rolls and dye to order lots, priced on volume and held for repeat seasons.
- Trade pricing from 300 meters
- Shade matched against a filed master swatch
- Export documents and freight handled
Warehouse stock
Why buyers stay
Same roll, same shade, second order.
Repeat buyers do not want surprises. Every quality we sell is logged against a master swatch and a fixed recipe, so the navy you approved in March is the navy that lands in October. If a lot drifts outside tolerance, it does not leave the floor.
Lot control
Shade cards filed and matched under D65 light before any roll is released.
Held stock
Core qualities kept in depth so a repeat order ships in days, not months.
How an order runs
From enquiry to loaded truck.
Four stages, each with a named contact and a date you can hold us to.
Enquiry
Send the quality, quantity and target price. You get a written quote inside one working day.
Sampling
Cuttings and a hanger set go out by courier. Approve the shade before anything is cut.
Production
Rolls are inspected on a four point system, then folded, wrapped and labeled to your spec.
Dispatch
Packing list, test report and photos sent the day it leaves. Freight handled either end.
Made for makers
Thread counts you can plan a season around.
We supply home textile brands, baby and nursery labels, uniform makers, quilters and independent studios. Small enough to cut you a single yard, deep enough to fill a container.
Yarn store
About us
A quiet mill, a long memory.
Gentle Nest Fabric began with one complaint we heard on repeat: the second order never matched the first. We built the company around fixing that.
Mill floor
Our story
Built by people who count rolls.
We are not brokers. Our team walks the weaving shed, watches the dye bath and signs off the shade card before a single meter is invoiced. That closeness is the whole product.
The name comes from what most of our cloth becomes: bedding, swaddles, cot sheets, curtains that soften a room. Fabric people live inside. It should feel considered, and it should behave the same way every time you order it.
What we hold to
Three promises, printed on every packing list.
Shade, held
Every quality carries a filed master swatch. Reorders are matched against the original, never against the last batch.
Dates, kept
We quote a dispatch date we can meet. If a lot slips, you hear it from us before you have to ask.
Cloth, tested
Shrinkage, colorfastness and GSM checked on every production run, with the report sent alongside the goods.
The route here
How the company grew.
Slowly, and on purpose. Each step below was taken because a customer asked for it.
One quality, one buyer
Started supplying greige cotton to a single nursery brand who could not get a consistent white.
Dye house partnership
Locked in a long standing dye house so recipes stayed in our hands rather than the market's.
Stock warehouse opened
Began holding core qualities in depth, cutting repeat order lead times from months to days.
Export desk
Added freight and documentation support, and now ship to buyers across twelve countries.
Cloth is a promise you make to someone you will never meet. We take that seriously.
Most of what leaves our floor ends up close to skin, in a nursery, on a bed, against a newborn. That is the standard we buy, test and pack to. It is also why we would rather turn an order down than send a lot we are unsure of.
